[NEWS] Actor Joo Sang Wook and Park Shin Hye revealed their thoughts for being the ambassador for the 49th Daejong Film Festival

Joo Sang Wook and Park Shin Hye recently officially attended the 49th Daejong Film Festival as the ambassador at Ruby Hall, Seoul Plaza Hotel on the 13th September 2012.

On that day, actor Joo revealed, "I am very honoured to be able to be the ambassador with the beautiful actress Park Shin Hye for the 49th Daejong Film Festival."

And actress Park Shin Hye revealed, "It's my honour to be the ambassador for this year's Daejong Film Festival even though I am young; my work pieces aren't really a lot. I will continue to work hard and strive on to present a better Shin Hye to everyone."

In addition, actor Joo also expressed his gratitude and thanked Shin Hye for her help during the filming of the TV show "Kimcheed Radish Cubes" (MBC, 2007) when he was going to leave the circle to be a Korean veteran for a period of time.

The Daejong Film Festival was established in 1962 and has the longest historic times in Korea. In 1959, the Culture and Education department created the award "Excellent Movie Awards" in Korea. It was handed over to Culture and Public department in 1962 and the name for it was changed to "Daejong Movie Festival" and was hosted by Korean Film-makers.

The 49th Daejong Film Festival Award Ceremony will be held at 30th October 2012, in Yeouido, Seoul,KBS Hall.

On 9 September 2012, Park Shin Hye’s fans sent 160-persons worth of samgyetang (chicken stuffed with sweet rice, dates, garlic, and ginseng soup), fruit boxes, and coffee to the set of her currently shooting movie entitled “December 23” which is directed by Lee Hwan Gyung.

On 10 September 2012, Park Shin Hye posted the photograph on her Twitter account with the following words: “Thank you. Thanks to my fans, we are eating delicious food, healthy food, and were able to happily shoot the film. ^^* I will also work hard on the remaining scenes to shoot. Please encourage me.”

Park Shin Hye plays a law student in the film whose mentally handicapped father is falsely accused and convicted of a crime, and she decides to prove his innocence.

Korean actress Park Shin-hye and actor Joo Sang-wook have been selected as the promotional ambassadors of the upcoming Daejong Film Awards.

Park and Joo, who both have been actively building strong career paths in the films and dramas, were appointed as the promotional ambassadors of the 49th Daejong Film Awards at the ceremony's press conference held at the Plaza Hotel in Seoul on Thursday.

"I am honored to be named as the PR ambassador of the Daejong Film Awards. I will do my best to make it an all-embracing ceremony,�� the "Heartstrings�� actress told the local reporters at the scene.

Her counterpart Joo also expressed his excitement by adding, ��I will try hard to make the ceremony enjoyable for people in the movie industry and for everyone who loves Korean films.��

Established in 1962, the Daejong Film Awards is the oldest film award ceremonies here.

From this year's edition, the ceremony committee is expected to make a new leap by becoming an independent incorporation and launching several new programs, DFA executive officer Kwon Dong-sun said at the conference.

Meanwhile, the awards' nomination will be unveiled on September 27 and the finalists are to be announced during the ceremony at the KBS Hall in Seoul on October 30. The event will be carried live on the Korean major broadcasting channel KBS2.
