Biography

Lee Min-Ho was born in Heukseok-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, South Korea on June 22, 1987. His family consists of his mother, father, and one older sister. As a young child, Lee Min-Ho hoped to become a football (soccer) player, but an injury in the 5th grade of elementary school ended those dreams. However, Lee Min-Ho still keeps up with football and mentions Nal-do Ho as his favorite player.
In the 2nd year of his high school career, Lee Min-Ho turned his attention to acting. By the time of Lee Min-Ho's senior year in high school he joined Starhaus Entertainment with the help of an acquaintance. After going through training, Min-ho started auditioning for roles and landed smaller roles in several television dramas. His major breakthough came with Min-ho landing the lead role in the KBS2 drama "Boys Over Flowers" as Ku Jun-pyo. The television series became immensely popular and regularly received ratings of over 30% in South Korea. Lee Min-Ho is currently majoring in Film & Art at Konkuk University.
In 2011 Lee Min-Ho starred in popular drama series "City Hunter." The drama was based off a Japanese manga by Tsukasa Hojo. His co-star in the drama was Park Min-Young. They knew each other for about for 5 years having previously worked together in the KBS2 2007 drama I am Sam. According to management agencies for Lee Min-Ho and Park Min-Young they developed feelings for each other while filming City Hunter. After the completion of "City Hunter" the couple dated more seriously and were involved as couple.[1]

Lee Min-Ho will release a special album for his fans in May, 2013. He will then begin a world tour that will take place in South Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines from late May, 2013 through July, 2013.

Philippine Channel, ABS-CBN got the rights to air Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye's upcoming drama <crown to write characters, its weight bear la-heirs> One who wants to wear the crown, bear the crown - Heritors aka "The Inheritors" (International Title) before the drama's premiere in Korea on October 2013.

The star-studded drama of SBS "The Inheritors" will soon to air in Philippines as Kapamilya Asianovelas in Facebook revealed a photo of ABS-CBN Acquisition Manager, Ms. Rachel Simon at BCWW 2013 posing behind a poster of the said drama.

Before it was confirmed in ABS-CBN, the drama was bid by other network (GMA) - according to Asian Drama Philippines Facebook post.

ABS-CBN also aired some of the lead stars previous dramas like Lee Minho's "Boys Over Flowers" & "Personal Taste (aka Perfect Match)" and Park Shinhye's "You Are Beautiful (aka He's Beautiful)" & "Heartstrings". It was also the official media partner of "2013 Park Shin Hye Asia Tour: Kiss of Angel in Manila" and "Lee Min Ho: My Everything Concert in Manila"

The airing date of "The Inheritors" in ABS-CBN is not yet confirmed because the drama will just start to air in Korea next month.

When Tan's father, the chairman of Jeguk Group was taken ill, Tan's brother, Won took over his place naturally. Tan's mother always told him he had to beat his brother but, in secret, he liked his brother, who was cool, mature and manly.

When Tan left to study overseas, his brother told him coldly, “Don’t think about things too much, just have fun. Eat well, sleep well and if possible, don’t come back.” That moment he realized that he was actually being exiled. His half-brother was taking back from him things that his mother had taken from him.

Having a mother who couldn’t speak, having a mother who worked as a maid or living in a stingy basement room full of mold all your life…. Which is the most uncomfortable out of the three? Unfortunately for Eun-sang, she had all three. “It feels like the whole universe is working to make me unhappy. Do you know what that feels like?”

Worn out from her part-time jobs, Eun-sang smiled sadly. Her older sister who was supporting herself through her studies in a foreign country was her pride and role model. Then one day, she got a call from her sister saying that she was getting married to a rich man. These are only stills but Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye are bursting with chemistry. Who knew they’d look this good together?
Their first scene was filmed on August 22nd in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, but these stills seem to show poor girl and one of the elite’s princes meeting at a US-based hospital. Anyway, during this encounter, Kim Tan dispenses with any semblance of shyness, draping his arm over an astonished Cha Eun Sang.
Off cam, observers note that the actors have cultivated a friendship, so, their onscreen sizzle shouldn’t be surprising.

With the heart fluttery first meeting between Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye, a new visual couple was born.

Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye are starring in the upcoming SBS drama, The Heirs. The drama is about Kim Tan, the heir of Empire Group, who has everything, including pain, and Cha Eun Sang, who works hard to make it out alive in poverty.

Along with Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye, Kim Woo Bin, Kim Ji Won, CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk, and f(x)’s Krystal will also help the love story unfold.

On September 17, teaser photos of Park Shin Hye and Lee Min Ho’s first meeting were revealed, showing Lee Min Ho with his arm wrapped around Park Shin Hye as the two gazed into each other’s eyes.

As if foreshadowing the love story to come, the two showed impressive acting sending messages back and forth with just their gazes.



The scene was filmed on August 22 in Paju. The two had grown close after several script reading sessions and greeted each other warmly once on the set. Even before the shoot began, the two actors carefully checked the set and repeated practiced together during the rehearsals.

Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye worked passionately to make the drama as perfect as possible, checking the script and talking with director Kang Shin Hyo many times. As soon as the camera started rolling, Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye transformed into their characters.

“It’s very fun to work with the respected writer, director, actors, producers, and staff,” said Lee Min Ho. “Like the title, The One Who Wear the Crown, Bears the Crown, I will work hard with responsibility to create a good project for the viewers.”

“I’ve read the script over and over again and paid close attention to the clothes and props to become Cha Eun Sang,” said Park Shin Hye. “Even talking with the director to receive more detailed directions, I will work hard to get closer to the viewers as Cha Eun Sang. Please look forward to it!”

Production company, Hwa and Dam Pictures talked with enews, saying, “Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye completed their first shoot with great visual and acting. They showcased enthusiasm that made it seems like they knew each other for a very long time, adding another layer of anticipation for The Heirs couple.”

Meanwhile, The Heirs was written by Kim Eun Sook, the writer of Secret Garden and A Gentleman’s Dignity, while directed by Kang Shin Hyo, who created, Tazza and Midas.

The drama is about a high school students living in high society as they get involved with a girl from the lower class.

Lee Min Ho‘s first meeting have been unveiled, and they promise some great chemistry between the two.
